Inigo Pascual shares how his dad Piolo Pascual helps him with his career

Inigo Pascual opens up about the invaluable guidance he receives from his father, celebrated actor Piolo Pascual, especially when tackling challenging dramatic scenes in his acting career.

Actor and singer Inigo Pascual recently revealed that he frequently turns to his father, veteran actor Piolo Pascual, for advice on performing intense dramatic scenes.

Currently in Manila after spending considerable time in Hollywood pursuing acting roles, Inigo shared how he consults Piolo about his approach to emotionally heavy roles.

“I always ask Papa, especially when it comes to heavy drama scenes where I really have to give it my all. I ask him what I should focus on—whether it’s my personal pain or should I become the character? And my dad tells me, ‘Whatever works for you and whatever works in that situation,’” Inigo said.

This advice has helped the young actor make his mark, notably with his role in the American series Monarch, which stars Susan Sarandon and Anna Friel.

Inigo acknowledged the challenges of the audition process abroad, saying, “Whenever I say auditions, it doesn’t mean you always get the part. For me, I’m just happy to get the chance to audition. It’s really tough — imagine how hard it is to be an actor here in the Philippines, and then imagine the competition in America. There are more people competing and more options available.”

Still, Inigo remains committed to his career in the Philippines. “When I say I do a lot of auditions, it means I’m taking my chances and seeing how far I can go in the States. But it doesn’t mean that’s the only career path I want. I still want to pursue my career here in the Philippines.”

“This is home to me. No matter what projects I get to do elsewhere, in another country, this will always be my home.”

Aside from acting, Inigo is also making waves in music.

He released his latest album, The Heartbreak Trilogy, last year.

“Right now, I’m in the process of creating new songs. This year, I’m doing something different with my music. I think I’m going to go back to my roots and the sound of ‘Dahil Sayo.’ So, watch out for that,” Inigo teased.

Inigo is also venturing into business. “I’m planning to produce more rug designs, and I’ll be launching a new brand soon — hygiene products,” he shared.
