Actress Janice de Belen had the experience of a lifetime when she met her ultimate favorite South Korean actor, Song Joong-ki, at his fan meeting in Manila on Saturday evening, May 24. The emotional encounter left de Belen overwhelmed with joy, living the dream of many fans worldwide.

De Belen was selected from the crowd and invited on stage to receive a poster and a bouquet of flowers, both personally presented by Song Joong-ki. As she stepped onto the stage, the actor greeted her with a handshake and a warm embrace, a gesture that visibly thrilled the Filipina actress. Not content with just one hug, de Belen requested another, and Song graciously responded with a tighter and longer embrace.

When their eyes met while she was still seated in the crowd, Song mentioned that he could already see how happy de Belen was. “She’s so happy when we made eye contact,” Song said, reflecting on the moment.

It helped me so much to recover from the sadness and the pain. After that, I loved him already. So tonight was monumental for me! I’m so glad I didn’t cry or pass out,” she shared, revealing how Song's show helped her cope with the loss of her mother.
