From rejections to renewal: Gabbi Garcia renews contract with GMA

Gabbii thanked each and every one of those who helped, accompanied, and loved her during her more than a decade in show business.

Gabbii Garcia couldn't help but get emotional when she renewed her exclusive contract with her home network, GMA-7, on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Gabbi Garcia on being a proud Kapuso: "GMA was one of the few ones who embraced me, who welcomed me, who accepted me, and who saw something in me. Tumaya sila sa akin without even knowing what I have to offer. That was 11 years ago and up to this day." PHOTO/S: KHRYZZTINE JOY BAYLON

Gabbii has been a talent of GMA-7 for eleven years, so she is full of joy and gratitude for the Kapuso Network's renewed acceptance and trust in her.

Looking back, the actress says that she went through a lot when she was just dreaming of becoming an actress.

She said that she used to go to talent auditions left and right and was rejected several times, until GMA-7 discovered her.

Gabbi's tearful story at her contract signing: "When I was younger, I often get rejected in auditions and VTRs.

"But GMA was one of the few ones who embraced me, who welcomed me, who accepted me, and who saw something in me.

"They bet on me without even knowing what I have to offer. That was eleven years ago and up to this day."

Gabbi's showbiz career began in 2014 on GMA-7 when she was cast in the defunct TV series My Destiny, which starred Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez, and Rhian Ramos.

She was only fifteen years old at the time.

After that, Gabbi received one opportunity after another, until she landed her first lead role in 2015 in the series Let the Love Begin.

Here, she was paired with Kapuso actor and ex-boyfriend Ruru Madrid.

GABBI HONORS PARENTS AND BOYFRIEND KHALIL RAMOS

Gabbi also sincerely thanked the people who inspired her to persevere —her longtime boyfriend Khalil Ramos and parents Vince and Tes Lopez.

"So, thank you and I honor you in every single way that I can."

In the end, Gabbi thanked GMA Network again, including her promise to remain a loyal Kapuso.
