David Licauco Pays Tribute to Grandfather Jaime Licauco, Celebrated Author and Parapsychologist

Actor David Licauco honors the memory of his late grandfather Jaime Licauco, a revered writer and lecturer known for his work in parapsychology and Philippine mysticism.

Licauco, the esteemed author, lecturer, and grandfather of actor David Licauco, passed away at the age of 84.

David expressed his grief and love through a heartfelt Facebook post dedicated to his grandfather, sharing touching photos of their moments together.

The wisest man I knew — always chasing greatness, always sharing his wisdom. Thank you for the life talks, the lessons, the power of your mind. I’ll hold them close, always. Rest easy, lolo,” wrote the Sparkle star.

Born on July 25, 1940, Jaime Licauco was a respected figure in the fields of parapsychology and Filipino mysticism. He graduated from San Beda College in Manila and later earned his Master’s degree in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management.



Throughout his life, Jaime authored 17 books and numerous articles focusing on topics such as inner mind development, creative and intuitive management, paranormal phenomena, and the rich mysticism of the Philippines. He was also a sought-after lecturer who spoke before various medical and professional groups including the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Philippine Society of Family Medicine, the Philippine Neurological Society, the Philippine Nurses Association, and the Philippine College for the Advancement of Medicine.

David Licauco, meanwhile, is recognized for his roles in historical fantasy dramas, notably Maria Clara at Ibarra and Pulang Araw.
