Caitlyn Stave, a Kapuso actress, faced a challenging moment at the Kaamulan Horseshow & Competition 2025 when she was injured after falling off her horse during the event. This marked her first fall in seven years of riding. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Caitlyn shared the details of the accident, recalling the moment she broke her pinky and ring fingers.
"In my 7 years of riding, I fell off a horse for the first time. Day 2, fell off again & broke my bones for the first time," she revealed. "Fell off and broke my fall with my hand (which is exactly what you're not supposed to do), and broke my pinky and ring finger on my right hand."
The actress described the excruciating pain she felt as she was taken to the hospital. "I remember being in the ambulance crying because of the pain yet still begging for them to let me finish my race," she continued.
Despite the severity of the injury, Caitlyn underwent a successful surgery, but she will be sidelined from horseback riding for the next two months. "Just had surgery and it went smoothly! Right when I woke up I asked when I could ride again, and the doctor said 2 months...but I persuaded him to let me at least walk with my horses after 2 weeks," she said.
Before the accident, Caitlyn had been bonding with her Mga Batang Riles co-star Zephanie over horseback riding, which was one of her great passions. Despite the setback, Caitlyn's determination to recover and return to riding is clear.
