Social media personality Bella Poarch, famous for her lip-sync videos and music career, recently returned to the Philippines after 14 years. However, her homecoming took an unexpected turn as she had to go straight to the hospital for eye surgery due to a stye.
On Sunday, May 4, Poarch shared a TikTok video documenting her arrival in the country and her quick trip to the hospital. In the video, she humorously lamented, “I flew to the Philippines and got eye surgery. I don’t know why but every single time I travel, sh*t always happens.”
Poarch explained that it had been 14 years since her last visit, and despite the setback, she refused to let a stye cancel her plans. “There’s no way I’m gonna cancel over a stye,” she added, maintaining a positive attitude despite the inconvenience.
After a 14-hour flight, Poarch went straight to the hospital for surgery. She was scheduled for a photo shoot shortly after her procedure, and despite having one eye covered in bandages, she still managed to attend a fitting before heading to Bohol for the next leg of her trip.
Poarch expressed her gratitude for the care she received, saying, “My surgery went so smooth and I’m so grateful for the Filipino nurses and doctors that took care of me.”
Once in Bohol, Poarch was able to remove the bandage, showing that her eyes had already recovered. “No bruise, no swelling. Now, I’m ready for Philippines,” she declared with excitement.
In another post on her Instagram, Poarch shared a glimpse of herself enjoying a boat ride in Bohol, fully embracing her time in the country.
