AC Bonifacio opens up about relationships during her "Pinoy Big Brother" stint, admits BF Harvey Bautista was jealous of Michael Sager

AC Bonifacio recently revealed the challenges she faced in her relationship with Harvey Bautista during her time on "Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)" due to her close friendship with Michael Sager.

AC Bonifacio candidly shared that there was a time when her boyfriend, Harvey Bautista, experienced jealousy over her close friendship with Michael Sager during her "Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)" experience. Despite this, she emphasized that their bond grew stronger after her early eviction.

Bonifacio noted that one of the housemates she connected with the most was Michael Sager, as both of them shared a hometown in Vancouver, Canada. However, their close friendship was misinterpreted by netizens, which affected Bautista. She explained, "Sa’kin kasi, wala po talagang malisya (There was no malice for me)," referring to her relationship with Sager. "With [Michael], iba ang naging tingin ng viewers, and they started to tag [Harvey on social media], and say such things (Viewers had a different interpretation of it, and they started to tag Harvey on social media and say such things)."

The actress and dancer elaborated that not being able to communicate with Bautista while she was in the PBB house may have added to the misunderstandings. At one point, Jhai Ho from the media con also mentioned that Bautista appeared in a bad mood during a regional show, which coincided with the period when she was growing close to Sager.

Bonifacio recalled, "So when you’re seeing that and [Harvey] wasn’t able to communicate with me, iba ‘yung mabebelieve talaga (he would have that belief). But he was okay. He was going through it… Na-realize niya (He realized things). After we talked about it, he said sorry."

Jealousy, she admitted, is natural in relationships. She added, "May factor na [nagselos]. Nagseselos din naman po ako. Normal lang naman ’yun sa tao (There was a jealousy factor. I get jealous too. It’s normal among people). But communication fixes everything."

When asked about the current state of their relationship, Bonifacio assured fans, “To anyone asking, me and Harvey are totally okay.” She continued, “If anything, we have gotten stronger because the time apart and the time of not having communication made us stronger individually. Now that we’re back together and we chose to be with each other, it made us so much stronger.”

In terms of her friendship with Michael Sager, Bonifacio fondly described him as her “Darren Espanto,” referring to the singer and "The Voice Philippines" alumnus as her real-life best friend. She explained, “I clarified so many times at the [Bahay ni Kuya] that may jowa ako, may Harvey po ako. ’Yung tingin ko kay Michael, na [he’s] like my Darren, my Canadian buddy. It feels different when you’re connected to home. He did truly make me feel like [I’m back] home. We’re both from Vancouver. We know details about our school life and [such]. Harvey understood that.”

Bianca De Vera’s Involvement and Bonifacio’s Thoughts on Their Relationship

The relationship between Harvey Bautista and Bianca De Vera also became a topic of discussion after Bonifacio revealed that Bautista considered De Vera as his “TOTGA” (The One That Got Away). Despite this past connection, Bonifacio assured her followers that she and De Vera were on good terms and had become close friends during their time in the PBB house.

“We’ve got to spend two weeks together and sleep beside her. She was the one I would say my good morning first and my good night last… our humor is on the same level,” Bonifacio shared. She further added, “Me and Biancs are so good. Our friendship got better, and I’m so, so glad that we’re able to fix things right on the spot.”

Bonifacio also revealed that she, Bautista, and De Vera are open to hanging out together when possible, stating, “She taught me how to cook, and I would teach her moves every now and then.” She reiterated, “I just wanted to fix things right away… wala kaming problem (We don’t have a problem). We just have a common denominator.”

Bonifacio's Time on "Pinoy Big Brother" and Her Future Projects

Bonifacio was one of the first housemates to be evicted from the "Bahay ni Kuya" alongside Ashley Ortega. Kira Balinger and Charlie Fleming were also recently removed from the "PBB" House. She is set to make a guest appearance on the action drama "Lolong" alongside Ortega.
