Various celebrities and personalities have paid tribute to Nora Aunor, the Superstar and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, following her passing at the age of 71. The news has sparked an outpouring of condolences from across the entertainment industry.

On Instagram, Nora’s daughter, Matet de Leon, shared a photo from her wedding featuring her mother. In her brief yet emotional caption, Matet wrote, "I love you mommy," expressing her grief over the loss.

Veteran actress Vilma Santos, who worked with Nora on several projects, also expressed her sorrow, saying, “Our sincerest condolences and prayers. Rest In Peace, Mare. Ms. Nora Aunor! Our Superstar and National Artist... Maraming Salamat!” The two actresses shared the screen in the films Ikaw Ay Akin (1978) and T-Bird at Ako (1982).

Actress Hilda Koronel, who worked with Nora in Nakaw na Pag-ibig (1980) and Beloved (1985), shared her sadness over the loss, saying, “I’m very saddened by Ate Guy’s passing... we were discussing a project with her just before I left for home with Direk Adolfo. My deepest condolences to her loved ones and rest in peace now Ate Guy, you are now home with our Lord. What a big loss to our industry, but you will never be forgotten.”

Actor Dingdong Dantes, who worked with Nora on the drama series Pari 'Koy (2015), shared a personal memory of Nora's kindness. He recounted how, during breaks on set, Nora made sure he was okay and took the time to sit beside him and chat. "She didn’t make me feel like I had to prove anything. She made sure I was okay. She was generous with her presence—not just in the scene, but in that in-between space where actors wait and breathe," he shared. "It’s that kind of grace that stays with you. The kind that reminds you why people like her are legends—not just because of the work, but because of how they carry the weight of it with humility."



Comedian Eugene Domingo also shared her tribute, saying, “Ate, I will never ever forget you. Thank you. God bless you. #noraaunor.”

Ice Seguerra, in a heartfelt post, dedicated a poem to Nora, describing her as "the brightest star." He wrote, “Ang liwanag na ibinigay mo sa amin / Habang buhay, ikaw ang hihirangin / Mananatiling pinakamaningning na bituin (The light you gave us / Forever, you will be honored / You will remain the brightest star).”

Cherry Pie Picache also expressed her condolences, saying, “Maraming Salamat, Ate Guy. God's perpetual light shine upon you.”

Rochelle Pangilinan shared her fond memories of Nora from their time together in Onanay, saying, “Sa nag-iisang hinangaan namin ng nanay ko mula pagkabata ko. Hindi ko ineexpect na ibibigay ni God ang pagkakataon na makatrabaho at makilala ka. Napakabait sa fans, generous sa lahat, at napakabuting tao (The only one my mother and I have admired since my childhood. I never expected God would give me the chance to work with and meet you. So kind to fans, generous to everyone, and such a good person).”

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. also expressed his condolences, remembering Nora for her remarkable career. “I join the nation in mourning the passing of our National Artist for Film, Nora Aunor. Throughout her splendid career that spanned more than 50 years, she was our consummate actress, singer, and film producer," Marcos stated. “At the young age of 23, she began producing films that will forever be part of the national heritage: Banaue, Bona, and Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos. Her other stellar performances can be found in Himala, Thy Womb, and The Flor Contemplacion Story. She has won national and international awards for her performances. Her golden voice was a balm for all. Her genius was a gift to the Filipino nation.”

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) also announced that they will conduct state necrological services and a funeral for Nora Aunor. They highlighted that Nora’s legacy includes over 170 films, which were “exceeded only by the number of awards and citations” she received from both local and international organizations.
