In another heartfelt post, Lotlot reflected on her time appearing in the 1980s variety show “Lotlot & Friends,” which was conceived by her late mother.

Sharing a clip from one of her performances on the show, Lotlot commented, “I remember this so well.”

She then recalled a meeting her mother had called at their Jacksonville, Greenhills home, where she expressed her desire to produce a teen variety show for RPN 9.

“Mom called for a meeting at our then house at Jacksonville, Greenhills because she wanted to produce a teen variety show for RPN 9,” Lotlot said. “Everyone that worked behind the scenes was her most trusted, who also worked with her on ‘The Superstar’ show.”

Lotlot gave credit to her mother for both the concept and the title of the show, further sharing how Aunor had involved her other children, Ian de Leon and Matet de Leon, in the production.

“She was excited and she wanted me, Ian, and Matet to be the frontliners, including my cousin, Ate Marilyn Villamayor. The show went on for a couple of years, until I had my baby Janine [Gutierrez],” she reminisced, referring to her eldest daughter.

“This show brings back so many good memories. A lot of training and experience, which I carry with me to this day,” she added. “Thank you, mommy, for always believing in me!”
