Known by the name Niuyoumian, she posted a video on social media showing her inflamed face, revealing that she had experienced redness, swelling, itching, and a rash. She referred to it as a case of “hormonal face.”
According to the South China Morning Post, the woman from China shared that she had been wearing makeup continuously for 22 years without ever removing it.
However, her skin issues began at the age of 14 after using acne treatment cream. She stated that her condition progressively worsened, especially when she could only afford to buy cheap liquid foundation at that time.
While studying beauty and hairstyling, her exposure to various chemicals only worsened her existing skin problems.
In 2011, she opted for cosmetic surgery and underwent a series of facial injections, leading to various levels of distortion.
She later revealed that she was suffering from rosacea and demodex mange (a parasitic condition), describing it as "a rash that felt like thousands of tiny ants crawling on my face."
"Before I turned 25, I didn’t realize how serious hormone-related skin issues could get. I thought a little redness or itching could be solved with some ointment. But after 25, everything changed. For years, I never fully committed to healing my skin. I would try one product for two days, then switch to another just because someone else said it worked. This endless cycle only made things worse," she said.
