Amid ongoing speculation linking her to a political figure, Kathryn Bernardo has clarified that she is currently single and content.
The actress addressed the dating rumors during her red-carpet appearance at the ABS-CBN Ball, where she was asked directly about her relationship status.
“I’m very happy. And yes, still single,” she said in an interview with reporter Gretchen Fullido, effectively putting the gossip to rest.
The rumors gained more traction when social media users on X noticed that Kathryn’s mother, Min Bernardo, had apparently followed Alcala on Instagram. However, she unfollowed him after screenshots of the follow spread widely online.
Min has not confirmed whether she actually followed the mayor to begin with. As of now, Alcala still follows Kathryn on Instagram, though the actress has not followed him back.
Previously, Min Bernardo clarified her daughter’s relationship status in an interview with MJ Felipe, saying that while Kathryn “has many suitors,” she is “currently still single.”
