Julia Barretto caught the attention of her followers after sharing a quote about a “narcissist” not caring about being a good parent, following her father Dennis Padilla’s announcement that he is permanently severing ties with her, her sister Claudia, and their brother Leon.
Dennis Padilla’s decision to cut ties with his children came after he claimed to have been treated as a “visitor” at Claudia’s wedding to her longtime partner, Basti Lorenzo.
Julia, who has yet to respond to her father's earlier statements, shared a series of posts on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 11, which included quotes from Anthony Bompiani. One quote read, “A narcissist doesn’t care about being a good parent—they just care about looking like one.”
Another post read: “A narcissist’s favorite role? The victim. Because it distracts from the damage they caused.” A third quote said, “To a narcissist, the kids are just pawns in their war to break you.”

However, Julia did not add any personal commentary to these posts and later removed them from her account, though screenshots of the quotes were quickly shared on social media.
In contrast, Leon, who has yet to comment on his father’s accusations, shared an open letter to Claudia and Basti. In his message, Leon expressed his joy for his sister and her new marriage, encouraging the couple to “protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away.”
He wrote, "My Claui just got married… Still can’t believe I’m saying that,” and praised Claudia for helping him become a better person. He also reflected on the deep love he witnessed between Claudia and Basti, which remained strong despite adversity.
Leon ended his message with heartfelt wishes for their future, saying, “I pray for a happy marriage ahead. Continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away. Love you, Claudia. And welcome to the family, Basti.”
