Xyriel Manabat suffers acute stress disorder during PBB Celebrity Collab Edition episode

Before the incident, Xyriel had become emotional as she shared her feelings about her family and read a heartfelt letter she had received from them.

Kapamilya actress Xyriel Manabat faced a sudden health scare during an episode of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB): Celebrity Collab Edition, which resulted in her being rushed for medical evaluation.

The incident occurred immediately after Xyriel and her fellow housemates completed their weekly task. She suddenly began to feel severe dizziness and nearly lost consciousness. This alarming situation prompted celebrity houseguest, fellow Kapamilya star Donny Pangilinan, to quickly pick her up and carry her to the confession room for immediate attention.

Outside the room, the other concerned housemates, led by Pangilinan, gathered to offer their support and prayers for Xyriel’s swift recovery.

A medical specialist brought in by Big Brother revealed that Xyriel was suffering from acute stress disorder—a psychological condition often triggered by intense emotional stress, physical exhaustion, and lack of adequate rest. According to health experts, the episode was similar to a severe asthma attack, not just in terms of symptoms, but also in the intensity of the distress Xyriel experienced.

Before the incident, Xyriel had become emotional as she shared her feelings about her family and read a heartfelt letter she had received from them. The emotional moment seemed to have contributed to her physical reaction.

After taking a moment to rest, Xyriel updated Big Brother (Kuya) on her condition, assuring everyone that she was feeling better.

I’m alive. She’s back. Siyang tunay,” she said with a reassuring smile, expressing her relief.

Xyriel also shared that the last time she experienced a severe asthma attack was back in 2017. Reflecting on her current health, she said, “I know for myself, brother, that I have recovered. I am clean from nebulizer. The only reasons for my passing out are [hypoglycemia].”

Meanwhile, PBB recently held its fourth nomination night, where Xyriel and her partner Dustin Yu, along with Ralph De Leon and Josh Ford, were nominated. Additionally, Bianca De Vera and Shuvee Etrata faced automatic nominations after Etrata violated certain house rules.

This health incident serves as a reminder of the physical and emotional toll that reality show life can take on participants. Despite the scare, Xyriel's positive attitude and determination to recover quickly have been an inspiration to fans and fellow housemates alike.
