Those 14 days felt endless, but Ryan and I visited him every single day, our bond with him growing stronger with each visit. We named him G:u:nner, and we couldn’t wait to make him ours.
Finally, on March 16th, we got the call we’d been waiting for—G:u:nner was officially ours to adopt. We raced to the shelter that evening, hearts pounding with excitement, and brought our new family member home. g:u:nner was just 10 months old then, and now, at 3.5 years, he’s grown into the most incredible dog.
